Rock and Roll in Venezuela

Rock music in Venezuela is welcome, and lots of people, especially teenagers like taking part of this movement forming bands and playing in concerts. But, although there are a great number of rock fans, they do not support national groups enough, that is why publicity it is not good, and record companies do not bear them either. As a result having a successful band in Venezuela is a manner of a good support from admires and a great publicity.

Young boys in Venezuela have got used to listening foreign rock musicians, attending to their concerts and buying their CD records. In this way they are supporting those groups, giving them the opportunity to be caught by record companies. On the other hand they bear Venezuelan musicians because they think the best music comes from outside the country, what’s more, Venezuelan teenagers refuse their own music, arguing this is not good at all.

Because of the lack of support from young people to native rock and roll bands, record companies don’t pay attention to these musicians; they do not even try listening to them, because they don’t want to loose money in people who will never be triumphant, and people who will never be listened.

Most of the greatest and booming bands in the world have conquered because of the support of their followers. Once music corporations realize the big impact certain musicians have over population, they do not give up until they catch these groups, spending lots of money in publicity.
